Advocacy & Government Relations

Strategic advocacy and government relations support designed to strengthen an organization’s voice in federal and state policy conversations.

Through targeted engagement with policymakers, expert issue positioning, and thoughtfully designed convenings, CAI helps organizations influence policy outcomes, elevate their priorities, and build meaningful relationships with decision-makers.

Direct Advocacy & Congressional Engagement

CAI represents client interests before Congress and federal agencies through direct outreach, education, and advocacy on priority issues. We schedule and lead meetings with congressional offices, develop clear messaging and briefing materials, provide strategic guidance on legislative opportunities and risks, and maintain follow-up with key staff and committees to ensure the organization’s voice is consistently represented.

Strategic Convenings & Stakeholder Engagement

CAI designs and manages convenings that bring together leaders, policymakers, members, and community stakeholders to advance shared priorities. These gatherings support policy education, relationship-building, strategic discussion of emerging issues, and consensus-building, with CAI handling agenda design, speakers, facilitation, materials, and follow-up.

Advocacy Planning & Message Development

CAI helps clients define advocacy goals and build practical strategies to achieve them. We identify priority issues and target audiences, craft policy positions and talking points, develop engagement timelines tied to the legislative calendar, and support grassroots or member-driven advocacy so organizations can communicate effectively with policymakers.

Ongoing Support & Strategic Advising

Clients receive continuous strategic advising throughout the engagement. CAI provides policy updates, recommends targeted outreach opportunities, coordinates with allied organizations when appropriate, and evaluates advocacy outcomes to inform next steps, helping organizations stay proactive in a changing policy environment.
