Government Relations Associate

Capitol Associates, Inc. (CAI) is seeking applications for an Associate to support a diverse legislative and regulatory health policy portfolio. This position is a full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, working in-office with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.

This is a unique opportunity for a junior lobbyist/policy analyst to join our growing team. The Associate will be assigned a client portfolio, working directly with the firm’s Principal on legislative and regulatory issues such as healthcare reimbursement, healthcare system reform, and issues specific to certain clinical specialties. In addition, the associate will be expected to represent clients before federal policymakers, participate in advocacy discussions with clients, and preparing weekly and monthly reports on relevant policies.

This Associate will have ownership over several important client work products. In particular, the Associate will author a weekly email newsletter to our clients that include a compilation of relevant news clips and an original featured topic article on a relevant policy topic of the Associate’s choosing. The Associate will also lead our state legislative and regulatory tracking work. The Associate will co-manage the firm’s intern program.
