Matt Reiter

Matt Reiter is Principal at Capitol Associates, Inc., a bipartisan lobbying and policy analysis firm based in Alexandria, VA. Since joining CAI in 2014, he has represented corporate and nonprofit healthcare organizations on a range of legislative and regulatory issues, including provider reimbursement, value-based payment, and healthcare system reform. With a focus on aligning policy with patient values, Matt supports clients in building effective government relations strategies, and engaging with Congress, federal agencies, and the media. He regularly delivers policy updates at conferences and guides clients in developing advocacy operations.

 

Matt’s passion for public policy began with an internship for Congresswoman Nita Lowey and grew through early work at a lobbying firm. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Government Relations Association and previously chaired the Society of Health Policy Young Professionals. A graduate of American University with degrees in Law and Society and Philosophy, Matt lives in Fairfax County, VA, with his wife and daughter and is active in D.C.’s music scene as a guitarist.
