Staff Roxanne A. Burnham AssociateRoxanne Burnham serves as appropriations associate for Capitol Associates, Inc. As part of the appropriations team at Capitol Associates, Inc., she manages the day-to-day operations of various clients. Her responsibilities include advocating on behalf of clients and targeted funding on Capitol Hill, facilitating and managing Capitol Hill and relevant government agency visits, preparing testimony for delivery by clients before various congressional committees, educating clients on matters relating to the federal budget, including the appropriations and authorization process and House and Senate procedure, as well as preparing memos and position papers for clients, congressional staff, and members of Congress. Ms. Burnham has a considerable amount of experience in the legislative and government relations arenas at both local and national levels. She was Legislative Director for Congressman Sanford Bishop (D-GA). She served in various positions in the city government of Macon, Georgia, including the Executive Officer to the Mayor, before moving to Washington, D.C. Ms. Burnham is an accomplished writer and editor. She served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Protozoology, an international scientific publication housed at the University of Cincinnati, College of Biological Sciences. Ms. Burnham graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts/Journalism and has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Georgia College and University. |
