Pam Jackson Vice-President, Public Affairs Pam Jackson is a twenty-year veteran of Capitol Associates, Inc. She heads the firm’s event practice (Special Events by Capitol Associates, Inc.,) which includes a diverse portfolio of Washington, D.C. corporate and Congressionally-focused programs, Capitol Hill days, educational briefings and meetings, training seminars, ceremonies, receptions, gala dinners and award presentations for professional associations and societies, corporations, foundations, non-profits, and individuals. In her role as Special Event Manager for Capitol Associates clients, she provides a full spectrum of special event and meeting planning services from pre-planning strategy and concept development to execution and on-site management, including guidance on: site selection, security and protocol, invitations and printed materials, caterers, lighting and sound, musical entertainment, décor and theme, photography and videography, teleconference coordination, transportation coordination, valet parking, signage, lodging and speaker management and support. Prior to joining Capitol Associates, she served from 1974 through 1987 as Assistant to the Honorable Thomas P. (“Tip”) O’Neill, Jr. (D-MA-8th) during his tenure as both Majority Leader and 47th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Her career span of more than thirty years both on and off Capitol Hill, in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the private government relations sector, provides her with a depth of knowledge, experience and expertise necessary to effectively navigate the many nuances of the political landscape, including an understanding and grasp of security considerations, timing and scheduling, and government protocol. Ms. Jackson is a Trustee of The Leo Diehl Foundation. She served from 1994-2006 as an elected member of the Montgomery County, Maryland Democratic Central Committee. She was named as a Democratic Presidential Elector for the State of Maryland in December, 2004. In addition, Ms. Jackson was named a Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. |
