Staff Bill FinerFrock Vice-President, Health PolicyBill Finerfrock specializes in health care financing, health systems reform, health workforce and rural health for Capitol Associates, Inc. As Co-founder and Executive Director of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics, he is also a recognized expert on rural health issues. Mr. Finerfrock has worked in and with the U.S. Congress and Federal agencies for the past 30 years. After spending nearly eight years as a staffer in the U.S. Senate for Senator Edward Brooke from 1977-1978 and Senator Roger Jepsen from 1978-1984, he served for eight years as the chief Federal lobbyist for the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. He has successfully worked on public policy and regulatory issues before the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, and the Justice Department. Mr. Finerfrock has been active in Republican local, state and national politics. He has served on the Fairfax County Health Board since 1991. Mr. Finerfrock has received numerous awards including: the 1995 State Office of Rural Health Advocacy Award; the Watchdog Award from the Healthcare Billing and Management Association in 2006, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants President’s Award in 2002. He has been a speaker at numerous state and national health professional meetings and has been published extensively in newsletters and professional journals. Mr. Finerfrock graduated from Penn State University. |
