Capitol Associates, Inc. (CAI) (www.capitolassociates.com) offers year round Legislative Internships. Our Interns work on a variety of projects that support our efforts on behalf our our clients. Candidates should have good writing skills as the work includes writing reports and legislative summaries for our staff and clients. Interns will also be expect to attend and report on relevant workshops, briefing, meetings, and congressional hearings. A background or interest in public policy, health care, and/or political science is preferred. Most of our interns are undergraduate students in their third or fourth year of college. We also welcome applications from graduate students with a concentration in public policy and health care.

Our internships run year round. The summer internships begin in May and last into August (or whenever school starts again). We also have positions for Fall and Winter Semesters. Applications for the summer program are due February 15, for the Fall, July 15 and for the Winter semester, November 15. All starting and ending dates are negotiable and usually depend on school schedules.

This is a paid full-time internship with daily office hours Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Persons interested in applying should submit a letter of interest, a resume, and a writing sample. If possible we would also like to have 2 or 3 references but these are not required.
