Bill has distinguished himself as a leader in the fight for better patient care in support of the CARE bill - S. 1197, the Consumer Assurance of Radiologic Excellence Act of 2004 - which will set federal minimum standards of education and certification for professionals who deliver radiation therapy and perform many types of diagnostic imaging exams. *** Reported in THE HILL November 30, 2005.....Capitol Associates is lobbying for the University of San Diego. Metropolitan Police Department's (MPD) First District at the 16th Annual Awards Banquet held at Bolling Air Force Base Officers' Club on Saturday, July 10, 2004. MPD First District Commander Thomas McGuire presented the award to Capitol Associates, Inc. in recognition of the firm's outstanding community service. *** On February 26, 2004, Ms. Debra Hardy Havens, President of Capitol Associates, Inc., was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District (BID) www.capitolhillbid.org. The 22-member Capitol Hill BID Board of Directors is comprised of a cross-section of Capitol Hill stakeholders, including business owners, merchants, tenants, ex-officio members and elected officials. The Capitol Hill Business Improvement District is a 501 (c)(6) non-profit organization funded through an assessment on commercial property owners who are dedicated to fortifying Capitol Hill as a cleaner and safer place to live, work and conduct the business of our nation's capital, while remaining a national and cultural tourist destination. Led by the 22-member Board, the BID provides enhanced services that are designed to augment, not replace, services that the District of Columbia government provides. These supplementary services include: security, street cleaning, maintenance and graffiti removal, streetscape improvements, marketing and promotional services and community outreach. *** |
