Accomplishments

Capitol Associates gets results for our clients. That's always the bottom line, and thanks to outstanding clients and a skilled staff, we've achieved significant success on a wide range of issues during our more than 15 years in business. While it seems we've worked on every conceivable Washington policy issue, we're particularly proud of what we've helped clients achieve with regard to the following:

• CAI participated in White House Health Care Reform Briefings.

• CAI developed and implemented a strategy to successfully promote support for the establishment of the National Institute for Nursing Research at the National Institutes of Health and the Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Research at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. We are involved in a number of other coalitions including the National Coalition for Cancer Research, National Association of Rural Health Clinics and the FDA Council.

• CAI worked successfully to have language included in health care legislation on reimbursement for health care provider costs and/or their coverage.

• CAI developed, implemented, and successfully promoted support for various health care providers under Medicare.

• CAI devised, conceived and implemented special Congressional oversight hearings.

• CAI presented client's views face-to-face with the President, members of the President's Cabinet and Members of Congress.

Securing Federal Funding

Many of our clients have goals and objectives that involve securing federal funding for various projects and initiatives. We have a long record of success in this area, including funding for:

• Facilities Construction and Equipment Acquisition

• Disability Education

• Arts-In-Education Program

In addition to our success on funding initiatives here are a few examples of some of the other accomplishments:

• Worked successfully to have language included in health care legislation on reimbursement for costs associated with clinical research.

• Developed, implemented, and successfully promoted support for Medicare direct reimbursement for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

• Devised, conceived and implemented special Congressional oversight hearings.
